Honestly, I really love KANA’s music! I actualy founded her by accident on itunes! I think that this is the only single that she’s released so far since I can’t really find anymore information about her. (I think she’s another one of those beginning singers or the ones that are rare. I don’t know.) But seriously, I’m usually really picky about rating Japanese music but I think that this single contains one of the most beautiful songs.
Tsubasa is the first track that introduced me to buying this single. First reason being, was because it sounded beautiful and it sounds like it would be a love ballad that was part of an anime. (Which it isn’t, sadly.) The karaoke version pretty much shows all of the acoustics that makes the song sound pretty. I found out that she used a mixture of string instruments and a variety of background beats and rhythm. Although the song is more like a slow ballad, the Karaoke shows that there are actually a few beats in the background…. if you listen carefully.
Sympathy is another pretty ballad in this single but I perfer listening to Tsubasa. (Because some parts of the lyrics makes the song go off its rhythm a little bit.) I’ve noticed that Tsubasa and Sympathy pretty much uses the same type of background instruments and that the two of them may sound a tad similar only that Tsubasa has a violin in the background. (Hope that didn’t confuse anyone
Finally, Is this Love?, sounds like an anime opening of a romance or drama series. (Considering that the title is called “Is this Love?’) Unlike the first two tracks, this song sounds more modern and more upbeat. It’s like the trend in anime openings: slow introduction and upbeat for the rest of the song.
Overall, I really do think that this single is really well put together and I really don’t know the reason why KANA doesn’t seem so well known!
