Reviewing a single from RIKKI probably shows something about me…

Suteki da ne was one of RIKKI’s most well-known song as it was used as the ending theme of “Final Fantasy X.” As we may all know that the ever-popular Nobuo Uematsu composed the arrangement so the stunning Violin and acoustic guitar was manipulated by the great composer. RIKKI, being a folk singer made the ballad suit the traditional and romance feeling that was used in the game. Even now, I still listen to this flowy ballad after eight years.

Another ballad, Gotsuki-sama ~UTIKISAMA~ was had mainly the piano playing in the background. It still shares the elegant mood from the A-side but Rikki’s voice doesn’t show the same tone of her voice but more on the middle pitch.

The unexpected suprise from Pure Heart turns out to be the vocalized version of Final Fatnasy VII’s “Aerith’s Theme.” I’ve always loved the piano version of Aerith’s Theme so I thought that listening to the vocalized version was a great listening experience.

The perfect single for the Final Fantasy X and VII fans.
