Surprisingly, I’ve learned about Gackt when he sang the theme songs for “Mobile Suit Gundam: Double Zeta” and not from Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus.” After all, he is pretty popular for singing many awesome songs.

Redemption is actually the ending theme of  “Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus” (Which I thought was the worst of all of the FFVII compilation games.) so it’s pretty expected that the song is going to be good. And it turns out that it is! As usual, Gackt begins the song with many guitar riffs with an actual melody. The verses sounded very nice but I thought that the chorus was the best of the best. It’s funny how all of the verses were really not all that intense but when it came to the chorus, I thought he was kind of overreacting. It’s okay though, since he sang the song pretty well.

Finally, there’s Longing but I’ve got to honestly say that it wasn’t as good as the A-side. It sounded like another T.M. Revolution song. (In which I’m not so fond of that artist.) For some reason, I thought that the whole song itself wasn’t really that “interesting.”
